Standardized eConsent in REDCap: Assisting Study Teams with Recruitment

eConsent became a necessity during the COVID pandemic but has extended beyond that to help with recruitment in research studies. This poster will show a standardized eConsent process that can be replicated, making it easy to use for any study teams utilizing REDCap. Study teams are able use REDCap Survey Distribution Tools and Alerts and Notifications send the consent form to the participant, then it automatically sends the notification to the study team member. This can be an email or text message. The completed consent, with both the study team member and the participant’s signatures with the date and time of the signatures, are stored in an instrument in REDCap and the File Repository.
